Curtain Drop

Slot Top heading is used on a telescopic rod, tension rod or a net wire.

These products have an approximate 3.8cm slot channel with a 1.3cm stand up.

The general rule of thumb is to measure from the top of your rod, to where you want the curtain to finish.

If your rod or pole is wider than a standard tension rod (19mm diameter) then please do contact us as we would need to create a bespoke slot that is designed to fit your rod or pole. We would need to know the diameter of your pole and provide a quote for this.

For a Pencil Pleat curtain we recommend a track or a pole with rings.

For the drop measurement for a pencil pleat curtain on a pole with rings we recommend that you install the pole first. 

If you wish to cover (hide) the pole please measure from the top of the pole down to where you would like the curtain to finish or if you would like the pole to show (curtains to hung underneath the pole), you can measure from the curtain rings hook position to where you want the curtain to finish.

For the drop measurement for a pencil pleat curtain on a track we recommend that you install the track first. 

If you wish to cover (hide) the track please measure from the top of the track down to where you would like the curtain to finish or if you would like the track to show (curtains to hung underneath the pole), you can measure from the gliders to where you want the curtain to finish.

We recommend having a 3" pencil pleat tape for drops (lengths) longer than 175cm.

Our first advise is to make sure that you install your track and ensure that you have enough spacing in front/back of your track to create the waves for your curtain.

80mm spacing - 70mm is required both behind and in front of the track

How to measure the drop (length) for your wave curtains?

When measuring your curtain length for Wave sheers we advise you to measure from the glider on your track to where you want the curtain to sit, this should clear the floor by a minimum of 12mm. We strongly recommend installing your track first to get the exact drop for your curtain. If you are purchasing your track with us we can make the necessary deductions from your overall drop to allow for the track and clearance.

Our eyelets will fit poles up to 35mm in diameter.

For the drop we recommend to measure 2cm above the top of the pole to where you want the curtain to finish and providing us with that measurement
